In regard to the heat wave gripping most of the country, please keep this in mind:
> I was going to complain about how hot it is, then I realized that: 1.) It isn't 109 degrees; 2.) I'm not 5,700 miles from home; 3.) I'm not dressed in a full BDU uniform and helmet and carrying 70+ lbs.; and 4.) There is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road today! Thanks to all who serve. Repost so they all know how thankful we are for our Freedom.

Hey Slick! Yea, I put the games on (when I have time) on WGN now and then and check the MLB page. They are like the O's this year, lots of talent but playing inconsistant (best "nice" word I could come up with).
Of the teams I watch and track (Nats, Cubs and O's) it seems like the Nats are the only ones that are at least being competitive, besides that slide they have had the last 8 or so. I saw that Davey sat most of the outfield down the other day to "give them a break". I think it was more like, "Get it together of you get more bench time". Figures Werth would be in his worse career slump while with the Nats. Fans are getting aggravated with him! He'll come around.
But they are hovering around the .500 + or - , which is what the plan was this season. When Stasburg and Bryc Harper come on board next season, that should be killer! And with Gomes on board now, that should help.
Oh yea, and the O's. Don't know what to say besides I think they need to go to DC and take notes on how to adjust the roster and use the farm leagues B)

Hey Skulls, that beer already sounds awesome and its only 8:30! I was really hoping the O's were going to turn it around...at least a little bit...this year. Started off pretty well but its been all downhill since. So its on to football now! Been a Colts fan my whole life so its been a pretty fun ride during the Manning era, but now it looks like he wants 25% of the teams payroll so that ride is going to come to an end. Go Badgers!

Yea, someday, maybe, baseball will be fun to watch in Balto again. I'm going to hit a DC game in the next couple of weekends. Maybe I should fly out and see a Brewers game, they are kicking ass! And what is with Pitt? Who saw that coming? They are well over .500 and beat Atl last night. Wow! Makes it fun.
I have kept up with the Colts and the Dolphins, although I do not track football nearly has much as baseball or college hoops. Yea, P Manning is amazing. I think the best one out there right now. And the Dolphins, that's like watching the O's, they always seem to let me down:(
