Guns N' Roses - Pretty Tied Up (4:48)

From: Use Your Illusion II

Looks like the ever-fickle SAM has gotten over Don Dokken, and is now chasing Axl. I think this is the 8th Guns "N" Roses song I've heard this week - and it's only Tuesday. Can you say , "Classic Rock Radio?"
SAM ate my Sabbath request and has an issue playing my Sabbath and BOC tunes together for my Black-n-Blue theme. I????????m starting to suspect he dislikes me.

Oops, ya bumped me Keir! Different tune and album. We'll get that one later, probably after I have bailed for the day.

I really should wait and have my coffee before I attempt to write my dedications.

No doubt! Been the work week from hell, and I thought I was going to have a smooth day today, but still dealing with the other group I am helping out. I have never seen so much chaos in all my years of working (which is now quite a few!)

Always have the chilly brews to look forward to later :drunk:
John Sykes - Talkin 'Bout Love (5:41) (By Request)
From: Nuclear Cowboy

There was a Sykes song I heard a while ago that I really dug. I'm hoping it's this one.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the one.

I requested "I don't wanna live my life like you" early today off of the "Out of my tree" CD. That could be the one.

No, I heard it on Wednesday, and didn't think to make note of it. I don't recall which album it was from either - only that I was surprised it was him.

> Wow, been super busy today, first request. This album was a promotional only release that came in a slipcase. I don't know all the details on the "release", but it started going around in 2004. I could not find a "Z-rock" radio in Ohio, where these guys are from, but found one in Upstate NY, so I am sure this band it's way through those areas a few times. I heard about it a few years ago and was looking it for quite awhile, but finally Dale hooked me up (thanks!) If I recall this tune starts out with the Z-Rock commercial.

I did a little more digging around on this and it looks like Z-Rock was sydicated from Dallas (closed up shop in 1996) so that must have been the guys that recorded this show in 1989. Although this was not put out until 2004 (maybe it originally was a boot-leg and someone got it and got rights to put out the promos). I think the only existing associated Z-Rock station is in Chico, CA, although I wonder if they are just like all the other corp crap rock stations out there.

I'm a big fan of this band so if anyone else has any details of how this recording came about, let me know
> In case you haven't heard, but the end of the world is this Saturday, May 21st.

Gotta ruin a perfectly good weekend? Can't wait until Monday? Mondays suck anyway, so what better day to end the world on. Who's planning this thing anyway?

I disagree, too, BL. This is the Saturday I've been working towards for 3.5 years in Krav. My instructor examination. No way the world's gonna end then (unless I fail the exam)

I don't really know how it came about, but the album was released on Auburn Records so it could be that they got the rights and released it later, or maybe they were planning on releasing it before but it got shelved when they closed up shop. Auburn Records' last release was in 1990 before they reformed in 2002 (see discography (http://thecorroseum.com/labels/auburn.html)).
> Hey crew. Another rainy day here in MD. The ground sure is soaked, but guess it could be worse like those folks down in Miss, etc. My place is about 800 ft above sea level so if I have flood probs, man the sh*t is going down..hehehe.

You'll find out Saturday.
