> Very cool 'skulls. I've actually been meaning to rip and upload Iron Savior's Condition Red CD but other things keep getting in the way. I've updated the missing albums list (http://www.hardrockin80s.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11642) with your reuploads as well as some more that I uploaded, and noted the ones in ResedaCC and Grinder's folders too.
Keir,
Is that the other album with Kai Hansen? I heard one of the later IS albums, after he left that project, and did not really care for it, although it has been awhile so my thoughts may change...Condition Red was the first album they released after Kai left. I still really like it though.

Hmmm... do you mean Wolf from Sweden? I remember their debut from '99 is often found on lists of the worst album covers ever.
Speaking of new old school bands, how about Armour from Finland? They sound to me like a cross between WASP and Accept.

Their 2006 album, The Black Flame was in my heavy rotation when it came out. Thanks for reminding me, Dale.

> TMS episode this week talked about who should have been huge - these guys should have been huge
> From:
> 314 .:. [Add to Friends]
Maybe not is the sense they were talking but some of their choices were STUPID:
Cheap Trick?
Type O Negative?
Danko Jones?
I know Jim and Don are trying to be hip but c'mon and get with it. 2 of those bands were HUGE and the other is current and kinda boring.
Eddie had UFO up there of course and I would say Thin Lizzy is in same boat.

That reminds me of a discussion a while back (I think it was on another forum) where some people were saying how underrated Pantera was. Gee, I thought that to be underrated you had to, you know, not be hugely successful?
I would agree with UFO though. Even though they were huge in Britain (and probably the rest of Europe as well) for some odd reason they never really made it in the US.

> Osama bin Laden died courtesy of the SEALs and George Washington met him at the Pearly Gates. He slapped him across the face and yelled, "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!" Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and shouted, "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed!" James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said, "This is why I allowed our government to provide for the common defense!" Thomas Jefferson was next, beat al-Zarqawi with a long cane and snarled "It was Evil men like you who inspired me to write the Declaration of Independence." The beatings and thrashings continued as George Mason, James Monroe and 66 other early Americans unleashed their anger on the terrorist Leader. As al-Zarqawi lay bleeding and in pain, an Angel appeared. Al- Zarqawi wept and said, "This is not what you promised me." The Angel replied, "I told you there would be 72 Virginians waiting for you in Heaven. What did you think I said?"

yes, SAM likes playing dokken and related stuff so much that they're practically unrequestable. kind of the same with alice. but there, at least SAM plays the less known stuff, like tunes from Life and Crimes or the older albums. but with Dokken, Dio, and their solo stuff, and of course, Black Sabbath and Heaven and hell, there is a certain domination of RJD and co on the station.

Y & T have been steadily creeping up on Dokken, with Ratt close behind them. Alice is still in distant fourth.

and let's not forget SAM's longtime crush - Lee Aaron
and yeah, Alice doesn't get NEARLY as much airplay as Dokken/Dio-related stuff.
but: the actual problem with SAM getting focused on certain bands this hard is that it makes them completely unrequestable for listeners. they will always be recently played.

Good. We don't need to hear them anymore than what we already do.
