> If only jump sounded this excellent!!!! jump and I'll Wait are Van Halen's worst two songs!!!

IMO, the worst Van Halen songs by era.

Dave: "Loss of Control"
Sammy: "Amsterdam"
Gary: "How many say I" (Eddie lead vocals)

I love "I'll Wait"...actually 1984 is my fave Dave Halen album.

I dig Amsterdam too from Van Hagar, but really do not like "Finish What You Started"

Agree with "How may say I", wow that song blows, but still like "Fire in the Hole" and "Without You" from that album. Overall a bad release, but I think everyone threw the blame on Gary, who has an amazing voice, but he just did not blend in artistically with Eddie...

Eddie was totally the blame. He wanted to go "experimental" when bringing in a new singer. BAD MOVE! Eddie did not use Michael Anthony's trademark backing vocals. BAD MOVE! Eddie hired a producer who had no business producing a Hard Rock album. Real BAD MOVE!!!

Overall, there are a couple of good songs on VHIII, but the blame should rest on Eddie's shoulders.

I am by no means a fan of cover albums (I think the only one I own is the Helloween Jukebox album), but damn, this Stryper cover album completely kicks ass. Michael sounds awesome and the tunes are super heavy with Oz hammering it out too. Gotta add this one to the must get list !

> Hey crew! Damn I have lots to do this week. Work is a mess, have a paper due for wrtg and a final for my psych class. Somewhere in there I need to make time to do a chop on the lawn too, it's quickly becoming a field since we have had rain on and off. Fun fun!

Skulls, good luck with all that, fingers crossed it all gets itself done :)
Manowar - Hatred (7:41)
(By Request)

From: Into Glory Ride

Every once in a while I hear a song on here that makes me cringe with detestment at how awful it is.

This was one of those songs.

Not just any song can be made into a hard rock song. Queensryche has no business butchering this song, this is terrible

I did, and they both sound great! But he'll never win.

Sure did. Zakk kicked ass! Not so sure that James will win, but it was cool to
see Zakk ripping it up.

Well it is refreshing to see - when he came out week one and did Judas Priest song I knew he had something brewing...I usually dont "vote" but I did last night...bring back metal to mainstream!!!

I was going to say if I ever actually watch American Idol please send me down to see Drk so that he can use me for target practice. But if Zak is on the show and someone is playing Priest I may have to rethink that

here's last night with Zakk
The kid can sing, no doubt about it. Maybe we ought to start a movement here at HR80s and get everyone to vote for him.
Did you guys see the guy who won the 2009 Swedish Pop Idol sing Iron Maiden's 'Run to the Hills"? The guy's name is Eric Gronwall and. he's the new lead singer of H.E.A.T.

Yeah, I voted for him, too, Dale. Easy to do online!

We can do it...we will just post the numbers or online link to vote for him. the website www.votefortheworst.com pushes for their horse in the race (right now it is a great pick in Paul - crazy as all get up)

Stef has their entire discography in his folder so yes, I'd say there's a chance. Would be nice!
> . "The Robert Mason-fronted version is even stronger as far as I'm concerned. No knock at Jamie St James. I'm glad he's back with Black 'N' Blue. "

I have to agree. Robert Mason is doing a fantastic job fronting Warrant. Jamie just didn't fit, but he's good in Black n Blue.

Black n Blue "Hell Yeah!" is supposed to be coming out this year.

NOOOOOOOOO!
