Dokken - So Many Tears (4:57)
(By Request)

From:
Back For The Attack

Up a rung to 80s.

This string of deds won't make much sense, since the first one git bumped; wherein I said, "Let's climb the RR ladder shall we?"

That one will probably play in a couple of hours, and not make sense either.

Thanks buddy! That was the first Helloween tune I ever heard (stole my brothers lp back in the day) and was hooked right away :rock_on:

Ah, Dirty Looks. Good call!

Not a good movie. Avoid at all costs.

A great Alice Cooper movie would be John Carpenter's "Prince of Darkness."

Boy do I wish there was a "0" rating.

I'll gladly vote for Nazareth or Queen to be added if we remove D.A.D. from the library.

Hehehe, can we swap out Zwarte' for Cheap Trick too!

Hey now, since I am a D-A-D fan, I have to speak up. I have said this before and I'll say it again....D-A-D's early stuff (the first 2 albums and EP's) is an "acquired" taste and should probably be removed since many people don't like nor get it. I for one, find their early stuff a bit "tongue-in-cheek" and unique, to say the least. That early music is NOT something I reach for to crank it up. Their best stuff is from "No Fuel Left For The Pilgrims", "Riskin' It All" and "Helpyourselfish". So, the "whole catalog" debate continues...
Fair enough.

What would be a great feature then is if a song has a rating of 3 or less with, let's say, a minimum of 10 votes, that song gets zapped from the library. Ba bye. 8)

As far as entire albums go, one of my faves.

Me, too...and I have Doc to thank for that, HA!!!

You can look forward to 4 more tracks from that album to be sprinkled throughout the day, since that's where I used my first 5 tunes of the day!!!

Bye Bye to all the great Thrash Bands then...we'll be left with a boring station

DD... thanks for doing a feature on this one today! It really is a great CD form beginning to end.

No problem. I am enjoying the last track as I type ;)

I don't think the song rating thing will work (too many haters). Someone yesterday rated Thin Lizzy's "Massacre" a 1. WTF?
SAM must not have had dinner... he ate my Sabbath dedication and appears to have eaten my Kamelot dedication too.

I don't get you guys. You want a democratic way to choose bands for the station (poll), but yet don't want a democratic way to get rid of some (ratings - essentially a poll).

And not everybody is in love with Thin Lizzy. :?

the thing is, it ain't a democracy ;). it's chris's station. if you wanted to please everyone, in the end, you would please no one
I've been saying that for a long time. But it seems people are so hell-bent on voting for new music I thought the reverse would be appropriate.
This is just one of my many silly ideas, but why dont you guys load whatever songs you want on the station and then use the ratings to justify how often the songs play. Songs rated 8 or higher can be played very day, 5' 6 & 7's maybe once every 2-3 days and 1's and 2's only once a month. Then you can load whatever you want and if its something people dont want to hear or at least not very often it wont play very often. And if there is a song that deserves a higher ranking but some haters rated the song low just because they are hateful, just let Chris know and I'm sure he can fix it. I bet more people would start rating the songs that way also, rather than 3-4 ratings per song you may have 50 or more, and it would probably be a more honest rating.

You make a good point Lab. If the rating does not control anything, what is the use of the rating?
And although Chris controls the station, I think he would counter the idea that this is not a democracy..he always says this is the "listeners" station, so he takes what is noted and usually adjust as needed. One thing is for sure, there is definitely something here for everyone, so if you do not like what is playing, request something else or stick around a bit, I'm sure something you like will come along.
