What a difference this band was before Roy Kahn came on-board. Mark Vanderbilt was a good singer but the idea and writing influence of Kahn (which really came into play on his second album with the band "Forth Legacy) cannot be under-scored. That's the album where I feel the band "came of age" and took a giant leap forward in unique style, writing and playing quality.
Although Kahn is gone, they have the platform that they have used since Legacy album, and well, still making amazing albums as Silverthorn proved.

You are absolutely right. When Kahn left, I was worried that it would change the ???flavor?? of their music. That happens a lot with a new singers.
I have to say... we are in the midsts of a ???Skulls - Doc ??? EvA - 314 superblock. It???s certainly rocked my morning!
