What the hell was that??? Sounded nothing like 220 and also sounded like it was a 45 rpm on 33.
I hope that was not the actual tune cuz that was insanely bad.

That???s the second time I???ve heard it and thought the exact same thing. Not familiar with it so I can???t answer. If anyone can... my guess would be Keir or Dale.

> A whole lot of gossip going on about the future of AC/DC but I wanna touch upon a comment I saw someone make about the news. Robert Beaudette - "In a few years, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Judas Priest and KISS will all be gone. Metallica will probably stick around a few years longer. Then what? There isn't one band on the radar that will ever be as big or influential as any of those. The era of great arena bands is coming to a close." And this ladies and gentleman is my # 1 reason why I despise Eddie Trunk. What will he do when all these glory bands of the 70's, and 80's are gone, retired, or dead? There are so many young, and talented new bands in these genres that are hungry creating great music but because we have a bunch of corporate kiss asses, and sell outs they are not getting the exposure, attention, and air play they deserve. They are the future of the genres I love. This is also why I get annoyed when I see a 50 year old lady trying to stuff herself in a miniskirt at a Bon Jovi, or Motley Crue concert but does not care about similar bands playing similar styles. These type only wanna relive their little childhoods, and have no passion for the actual music or genre.

...some good points and it got me thinking...a lot...I get why the trunk does what he does, but it doesn't do much for promotion of new bands that could carry the torch abnd breathe new life into the music.

FYI - I personally don't despise Trunk...I lifted that from Madman's facebook page today. I agree with it though.

When I watch concerts on Palladia and the like I see bands like Shinedown playing in front of crowds that look pretty big. Are they on the level of AC/DC, Metallica, or Maiden? No. But neither have they produced an album like Back in Black, Master of Puppets, or Number of the Beast. If they did, they might reach the status of those bands, but they might not, because times have changed. Listening habits have changed. Music has changed.
Like or dislike Eddie Trunk all you want, but in the grand scheme of things he doesn't make a difference.

I saw them in Worcester on Sunday and they were incredible. Some great obscure old songs mixed in with the classics and newer tracks. They're only doing 5 shows in the US so we are very lucky!

Yes we were though Russ Tippens (who is one hell of a guitarist) told me he thinks they will be back in October for a midwest tour. He is my favorite guitarist to come out of the NWoBHM era. His Russ Tippens Electric Band is quite good as well. Very electric blues.
Did meet a guy from Texas who flew in for the show. I think overall the band was overwhelmed with the response and turnout they got.

lol, no one needs that study in western europe. unfortunately, I'm certain that there are people in the US, especially in the fast food lobby, who will still try to dispute the obvious because they don't give a damn about health and only want to sell their supersized crap.
