Metal Lesson was a great live show... I was there for most. They even had a chat. To replay them would be a little strange (IMO) since some of the ???new music?? they previewed ain???t so new any more. Now, if the John & John wanted to revisit it... that would be another thing. But they???ve got kids... family obligations... jobs... the things we all have that eat up all our time.
The OSMS was good too... but Grinder may have the same issue with time.
With 1 demanding full time job and 3 part time gigs; no one understands having no spare time more than I do.

Thanks PiMan and Doc :beerme:
I think Metalero and I were talking about re-runs although I REALLY like the "Keir Factor" idea!
I think that there may be some of us HR80s Faithful that have either not heard the old shows or, sounds like, may not mind hearing them run again...

fbf - I hear ya - just answering your post. MLR probably cant be re-aired from the 2nd era as they were live sets. If the original airs are around they could run. Recalling OSMS I feel most would be OK as Grinder did not get to much into the date of when it was airing.
As for the Keir Factor - He used to call in once a week to MLR and do a segment with John and John. But knowing Keir is also a huge NWoBHM guy he would fit right in with Grinder. Of course that's just my opinion  :hbang1:

The OSMS could be re-run though you would have to overlook when i talk about anniversary shows, or the band news segments where i talk about new albums coming out and so forth but i would say 3 out of 4 shows really had no "date" to them.

What if i did new shows 2x a month? Still on Fridays at the same or regular old time.? Every week is kind of hard these days but every other week could be do-able.

We're having this ongoing debate about adding and removing artists/songs from this station and now some want to add back talk shows? I would much rather listen to Durbin, ZZ Top, and Led Zep than a bunch of talking heads.
I am a firm NO.

I seriously doubt air time would impact the Day Crew BL...
I didn't realize these were talk shows...I have not gone to the links posted by Metalero.
Guess I should huh? I figured they were musiic showcases.

Several were aired during the work day, and although music was played, there was also a ton of useless banter.

I agree here. I used to hate it when when one of the shows fired up on Friday after lunch. I'd rather be picking and jamming tunes the whole time for sure.
Shows are cool, but put them post 5:00pm est :beerme:

I agree on this one too...the shows are cool, but I tune in to listen to music during the day.
Any time after 5pm sounds good if they're gonna be on at all.
My 2 cents.

Not much better a few hours south of you bro. I took Friday off to get some yard work done and now we're expecting a high of something like 35, fkn crazy! Last year we had 70's and 80's in March ( which was also fkn crazy ) I guess you could say our climate has just gotten fkn crazy!

I have to chime in about the airing of the various shows. Being as I'm on the West Coast, I'm still logged on and listening when they air. That being said, if they're going to air, I would prefer to see it be later than in the afternoon PST. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Ron Keel's show - albeit there was too much banter - but that mess that aired Thursday afternoon was awful. Frankly, I turned the volume off.
Just my opinion.

All - The goal for those shows are to air in evenings and weekends to allow you the maxiumum request ability.
There shoulnd't have been a show on Thursday - I'll have to go back and check to see what aired...
Much like fringe artists and whatnot, the shows are under evaluation, and if folks don't like them, we can remove them ;) That being said - I'll open up topics in the Playlist forum category to discuss shows...
