> Spring has been in full swing here in upper MD the past few days and all the spring sounds are abounding all over the neighborhood such as tractors, push mowers, weed eaters, chain saws, circular saws, tile and brick cutters, ATV's and a variety of other undefinable motor vehicles. Wait, I think I heard a bird!...Nope it was a car alarm :(

This is why I love this station. I'd never heard of this band til Skulls requested this track!!! Nice B)

Bro, it has already hit 90 in San Antonio!

The old timers are saying it's going to be a long hot dry summer down here...

Glad you liked it fBf! My brother turned me onto that album about the time it came out and I have played it many, many times since. Killer stuff indeed.

We seem to be on a roller coaster right now from unseasonably cold (farmers are holding off even early planting because of late frosts) to unseasonable warm like this week (we hit almost 90 yesterday!). Seems to get everyone crazy around here, maybe they are sick of being cooped up in the house or something. I'm looking forward to more normal temps that are on the way this weekend which is the mid-60's...you keep that crazy heat down there bro! B)

Is there or is there going to be an app for that? I'd reaaaaally love to be able to listen to the station from my phone while I'm working in the lab.
That would make my days much more enjoyable :)

Eva - Try this (if you have an Android):

still working out some kinks for the iPod/iPhone/iPad...

I assume this is in response to my Facebook rant. You're right, this is one of those songs that is WAY too overplayed. I love Aerosmith, seen them live many times, but you'd think with the size of their catalog, commercial radio would play more than Dream On, Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way ad nauseum.

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!

You rule DrK.

I'm busted...
RCC: I saw that episode Wednesday night. VH1 is months behind down here as they have to subtitle everything. Great question, Paul Rodgers was smiling. \m/

Am I the only one wondering why there is another radio show getting played?

SAM's got an identity crisis..

Thanks! That was a really cool experience. I hope to get tickets to the show again, but it's almost impossible.

Eva,

Check the show schedule. HR80's is now going to start playing some specialty shows again. "Rockin' Metal Revival" and Ron Keel's "The Streets of Rock and Roll".

Ooh, I hadn't seen that, thanks for letting me know!!
LoL ... Hate the Steel Panthers ... the best ugly of Glam Metal ...
I miss Metal Lessons Radio and Grinder's show.

Reminiscing of the past my friend?

It would be sweet to re-air these shows all right!

Is this even possible?

What say ye? Any others interested?

New Hr 80s show schedule is now available here on the site
First, what the heck?

Did the HR80s faithful take their Metal Wheaties today or what??? :horns:

Second, I've never heard the shows referenced above by Metalero. Y'all have.

Any one aside from the two of us care to chime in please?

Keep 'em coming guys. Mondays rule ---> at HR80s of course :)
The Old School Metal Show was Grinder's NWoBHM showcase show. It aired every Friday (3PM in my time zone) and introduced most of us to the classic style. I liked some and hated some just as with any style. I did always find it odd that a band would have the fiercest names then sound like Bon Jovi on speed. I would welcome the return - add in some "Keir Factor" to it and make it shiny and new (hint hint).

Metal Lessons Radio was by 2 John's - Mahoney and Obrien. Very killer "themed" metal show. Later in it's 2nd incarnation it was LIVE on Monday nights about 5PM my time out of their home studio in Tampa Florida area. They were both in a band Fester in the late 80's and hung out with the guys from Nasty Savage and the likes. Great show for sure.
