The only show I ever really liked and actually looked forward to was OSMS.
All the other shows seamed to be a bunch of ranting washed up wannabees who think they knew what good music is or isn't. Although it was cool hearing Ron Keels show last week.

I think black lab is thinking of some of the other shows that aired on HR80s a while back. I would not consider OSMS or Metal Lessons talk shows. OSMS was almost all music, with just Grinder giving the artist and song names between sets, and occasionally a tidbit of history or news. Metal Lessons had 2 DJs and a lot more talking, but it was always about the music (usually sharing personal experiences but also history and news and interviews with musicians, etc.) I never cared for any of the talk shows like CMS or Hairball John or whatever. Either way, I do agree that shows should be kept after hours.

I agree. Shows after hours. It's hard enough answering emails, talking on the phone, reading requestes, trying to get your work done and then having someone talking nonstop instead of playing music.

I'd rather do yard work than shovel snow! Even when you're mowing the grass every week I would rather be in the warm sunshine and fresh air instead of the freezing cold of winter.

I cant argue with that BL! I'll take the sun, and some open windows, and beer bottles that sweat. So why do I live here? Why because of the Badgers of course!

I never realized until recently that the kid who Izzy pulls up on stage to replace him as Steel Dragon's singer is none-other-than Miles Kennedy.
And Miles is the only one whose actual voice is used for the singing parts.

YO! What happened to my Bon Jovi tune as part of my burning block? It was in the queue after BOC but it disappeared and went straight to Black Sabbath. :smashpc:

They use Miljenko Matijevic voice (steelheart)for Mark Wahlberg's vocals. Also Stephan Jenkins vocalist for Third Eye Blind is the lead singer of the rival band Black Babylon.

And when "Izzy" went to Seattle, became Chris Cole again and got all Grungy, Brian Van Der Ark's voice was used in "Colerful".

No offense to the requester, but man this is one of those albums (actually both albums) that needs to be purged off the station. I'm not a fan of parody albums and bands, and this one is right up there as ridiculous and terrible.
Funny thing is a bunch of people bitch about St. Anger being on the station, but I rather hear that than this mess.
Just imo.... B)

I would have to agree. Not a big fan of Beatallica, but I think that singer has James' "OH YEAAAH" down! My dislike for them became even greater after I saw them at a club opening for Dangerous Toys a few years back. It was just a mess...a schizophrenic cluster-f' mess. They nailed the Metallica tunes (or parts), but the changing of gears to Beatles music was all over the place and got REALLY confusing & REALLY old quick.
But Hey, they don't get requested that much, so I really don't have a problem when I hear one of their "versions", ha!
BTW, Dangerous Toys kicked soooo much ass that night, it was a show to remember. What an awesome band!!!
