Hey guys, thought on the Rock Star movie. What did you think of the end? I thought the movie was cool, but was bummed at the end when he became, what seemed like, some lounge grunge singer. It seemed like it was a crack on the metal scene. I think it would have been cooler if he went and started some power metal band in Germany or something..hehehehe

Here's my take.....I too didn't like the ending AT FIRST, but I understood it later on. Being trapped in a band with NO creative input can cramp a musician. Eventhough "Izzy" got his ultimate dream gig with his favorite band, it came with a heavy price. Lost his girl and lost himself. That's why he walked away from it all (as he handed the microphone "torch" to Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge).

As for the grunge coffee house singer....well, since it was supposed to be a "period" piece taking place in the late 80's (my best guess), then the grunge (bowel) movement was imminently approaching. So, the music scene was shifting plus I feel "Izzy" wanted to do something different than the metal "Steel Dragon" vibe.
