Thanks!
Trouble - Psychotic Reaction (3:15) (By Request)
From: Trouble

Cover song from the 60s.
Dedicated by:
Hutt

Actually, this isn't a cover. There was a song in the '60s by the same name, it was done by Count Five.
Dream Theater - Hey You (4:49)
(By Request)

From:
Official Bootleg: Dark Side of the Moon (Disc 2)

Song Dedication
Again, Dark Side Of The Moon. I think SAM needs an adjustment.
From:
Black Lab

Couldn't agree more. And as much as I love Helloween, hearing them 5+ times a day via SAM is getting old.
RR80s - Man, the first two early Kix albums are weak (this one and Cool Kids). I think they are better LIVE!!!
From:
Diamond Dave

That they were. However, I do dig the 1st one. It did have some pretty good songs. The Itch, Kix Are For Kids, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Atomic Bombs are all pretty darned good in my book. Cool Kids was pretty weak. Now, Midnight Dynamite and Blow My Fuse...

Also agree that they are killer in concert. Great show!
For Shame - from that early era - is still one of my favorite KIX songs.
Yes, also a great tune!

Not real sure where Karlsruhe is, then again if I lived in Karlsruhe I probably wouldnt know where Madison is

It's in Germany near the French border. Supposedly its cityscape is supposed to be a model for Washington, D.C.
> Is it just me or is this station playing too much Jet Boy. Maybe I was asleep in the 80's, but Jet Boy. Come on, let's get real.

Well you and the Record companies were sleeping. Jetboy was a very underrated band and should have been as big or bigger than GNR but got hosed by the record company.

But then again I may have been their only fan?

My daily ritual contained many doses of Slayer and Jetboy...dont ask me why.
Me return!!!! Re-doing my first ever HR80s block.

Welcome back bro! :rock_on:
WB Loki - things are still rockin here!

 Really?!

Yes - they were all opening for each other back then...just Jetboy was a bay area band and had gotten a huge socal following.

Sorry - i am a true fan of theirs...much like you and Heaven's Edge :D
ok, this is fishy:

either rocko has been choosing risky requests or someone is antagonizing rocko - cause the 4 tunes of his block so far have all been rated a 1.

edit: now i'm convinced this is an anti-rocko campaign, since the last tune of his block has been downgraded to a 7, and it was a 9 or so before it played!

F* off, idiot, whoever you are!

edit 2: since I'm sure the 1's weren't an honest rating on the above tunes, I've upped them.
I agree with you Sonja, someone's actin' the fool - those were all solid songs. Ah well - the Hater exists in sprit.
> Airbourne - When The Girl Gets Hot (The Love Don't Stop)

They do a great AC/DC imitation, and I rate them high for that. If a band imitates, but does it well, I am all for them. This song RAWKS!

OK, I do like the tunes you mentioned from the 1st album (and Cool Kids is still the weakest). I enjoyed the songs more after I heard the LIVE versions from their early 90's live disc. Those tunes played live are electrified!!! WAAAAY better than the record.

IMO, the early KIX discs were going for an early 80's PUNK/POP feel, like some of the bands of the day (dare I say The Knack?!?). But when KIX blew that away with the new "metal" direction of Midnight Dynamite (yes, PUN intended, LOL), and they found their place. Blow My Fuse is still one of my all-time favs -- great beginning to end. Love it!!! and you forgot to mention Hot Wire, which continued that vibe even further.

Sadly, I never did get to see KIX live....maybe some day.

Interesting to see the Balto band talk going around the last few days. I was talking to the wife last night about old bands, and she mentioned going to Kix shows and also seeing Childs Play. You would not believe the looks I get from locals (and non-locals!), that know I grew up a metal head in Baltimore, and I tell them I never saw Kix live...LOL.

Leave it for me to be the odd guy out. I did not really care for the two big bands (there were others, like Bootcamp that made it a bit, but not like these two). I was the guy going to the Mystic Force, Apollo Ra and Pestilent shows, etc (I mentioned Apollo and Mystic on another post). Besides the hard cores, most local folks still have no idea who they were, although I consider them superior to the ones that made it to the "big show".
> April Wine - Wanna Rock (2:06) (By Request)
> From: The Nature Of The Beast
I've always thought that April Wine were a band with a few really great songs and a lot of crap. Today SAM decided to prove me right by first playing the excellent "Sign Of The Gypsy Queen", and then later playing this garbage.

Thanks! Oh... and I'm sure you glad to know that you are not the only one on Jetboy.
