> Stopped at the grocery store last night to do a little shopping. A 15 minute shopping trip turned into over half an hour because at least 10 times I had to wait in an aisle while some mother tried to maneuver her 10 foot long red plastic fire engine shopping cart with 3 screaming kids in it through the aisles. I Hate those things! ( the carts...but now that I think about it the kids too ) Wow, I feel better now, had to get that off my chest

I agree Slick on the cart and kids. Now let's throw in the mother who allows them to be making all that noise in a public place!!

I don't know this song, but it reminds me of the Hilly Michaels song of the same name.

I'm impressed Keir, you're the the first person I've heard mention Hilly Michaels in 20 years. I actually have that on vinyl.

Nice! I don't actually have that record, but I remember the video was played a lot in the early days of MTV.
And for the record I do know that Eyes song, just didn't remember it until I heard it.

My buddy just called, wanted to know if I would golf with him & his wife tomorrow morning. I told him I'd have to pass, I'd be embarrassed to get beaten by a woman, and your wife can probably beat me also

The word fuck did not originate as an acronym. It crept, fully formed, into the English language from Dutch or Low German around the 15th century (it's impossible to say precisely when because so little documentary evidence exists, probably due to the fact that the word was so taboo throughout its early history that people were afraid to write it down). The American Heritage Dictionary says its first known occurrence in English literature was in the satirical poem "Flen, Flyss" (c.1500), where it was not only disguised as a Latin word but encrypted - gxddbov - which has been deciphered as fuccant, pseudo-Latin for "they fuck."

I recently picked up the KLOS Rock to Riches LP from 1983 which has a Rough Cutt demo track on it. Great stuff from this underrated band.

Most heartily agree, Keir! I have always had a copy of this since it came out. I think I've repurchased it three times. And nice song choice!

Hey Keir, what's the name of that Rough Cutt demo track??? Love to see that uploaded, that is if you can convert it to MP3...maybe even the whole LP ;)
I have always liked Rough Cutt's stuff as well as singer Paul Shortino's side projects (Badd Boyz, The Cutt, etc. etc.)

Hey Keir, what's the name of that Rough Cutt demo track??? Love to see that uploaded, that is if you can convert it to MP3...maybe even the whole LP ;)The track is called "Try a Little Harder". I just uploaded it to my folder, but I don't think I'll do the whole compilation. Most of it is either off-topic or just not worth the time.

Well I should have looked at what was playing before I chose my morning songs. As GW is playing now and I hear bands will not be played any sooner than 8 hours apart now, my ded to you all this fine day will not show till tonight.
So I was sending out a Happy Day to you all as I am playing hookie to catch a ball game today. Have a great one - oh and do not forget all 80's is tomorrow!!! Just had to get that in too.

Wow, 8 hours?! I guess that explains why 4 out of 6 bands I've tried to request so far have been "Try Later". Looks like Walt and I were on the same wavelength though.
