I typically listen through the TuneIn app and at times it has to buffer quite often, but I always assumed it was due to a shitty Wi-Fi connection. :smashpc:

Not cutting out, but I'm unable to request. Every band / song has a funky icon on the request button, and says "You must wait 0 minutes before requesting". I was able to get one song through - I think.

I also saw those buttons on my requests, but they all played (although I was using Random Album Request).

On Monday and Tuesday it was all of them. Yesterday just some of them. I had no problem requesting today.

I ran into this same scenario before requesting my last song (Overkill's F.U.C.T.)...told me I needed to wait 17 minutes....so I waited and was then able to make my request.

I assumed it had to do with not wanting to play too much of the same artist within a certain amount of time.

I corresponded with Chris a little on this topic a couple weeks ago...figured he must've implemented some new changes.

Eva - There are certain legal requirements we have to meet to broadcast (ie the same artist can't play in an hour, etc) that are in place regardless of if you have requested. Rather than leaving all request buttons 'on' and then getting an error after clicking them, we limit those by making those tracks un-requestable.

Also, Sam limits requests in other ways - Sam has rules that we have setup to not allow the same song to be played in 24 hours - this is done to limit repetition and over playing of the same song.

Those rules are always in effect even if you haven't requested...Just because a song is not requestable, it's not because of anything you have (or haven't) done generally...If you are seeing a grayed out request button, then that just means that the song or artist you are looking at is unavailable due to one of the rules sam has in place...

However, if you see something that says you must wait 0 minutes, can you let me know? That sounds like a bug to me and I need to squash that bug...

That's exactly what was happening earlier in the week. If I did a random request everything was fine. But if I tried to request a particular track, every one was grayed out and said "wait 0 minutes". I would click back and forth between artist, album, and song and it would eventually become requestable. As I said, Monday and Tuesday it was really bad. Yesterday I ran into the problem a couple of times. For my requests this morning I had no problems. In a few minutes I will be able to request another block. I will let you know if I run into trouble.

Also, I was consolidating the request functions in the site code from about 5 different places to one central function earlier this week, and that was likely causing the issues you saw Mon/Tues. I also found an issue yesterday morning that could have been causing problems, too...

Chris, I thought that was the case but it's not. I tried to request from many different bands, just to make sure, but all of them showed the same warning message. Also when a track or a band has been played recently I get a different alert.
I saw the 0 minutes too, yesterday.
The weird thing is that I am trying to request ANYTHING right now and for every song or band I try it still says I need to wait 35min....

I can't request songs either. Server crash in 3, 2, 1...
