Is it just my box getting funky, or is this tune cutting in and out? If it is Sam, I guess we'll hear the same on the next tune also :smashpc:
I was thinking the exact same thing.

Not your box, ???Skulls... the tune had some issues with cutting in and out.

Saw 77 yesterday, it is EXACTLY like seeing AC/DC in the 70's with Bon Scott back, and they didn't even play a single cover.

They were supporting Bullet who were awesome! Lots of energy on stage and great sound. My neck hurts like hell but I'm happy :)
Ooh Lala - Tonight Only (3:03)

From: Free At Last

That was horrible. Sounded like early Bob Seegar.
Sorry in advance, but just had to compare some covers ;)

Hope you like "Day of the Eagle", my peeps!!!

BTW, who covers it best?
I think Armored Saint does the best cover of that song, mainly because it is the most different from the original.

Hi guys!
Today I'll try to request some of the new additions to the station (work permitting), especially some female metal bands to rock your socks off! :)

Sorry I didn't get to hear that block because I love that song. Don't know if you played it, but the only version on this station that I haven't hear is by Brazen Abbot. I do like all the other versions. I'm starting to think that song is so good you can't do a bad version of it.

Thank you Naomy, an all-time favorite!! :woohoo:
Welcome:) It was nice for me to hear this song also, like it!

Was wondering what everyone thought about this new Jason project.

I was really looking forward to it as I was Newsted fan when he was with Flotz and of course with Metallica. But I am completely dislike what I have heard so far (4 songs). It reminds me of a slower, bad Motorhead cover band. Maybe I was hoping for Flotz meets Met or something.
I spin some death and grind metal now and then so I don't mind some gruff vocals, but Jason really needed to bring in a singer and some other song writing influences.

Just opinion, but was curious of others take on it...

Personally I think it is his best effort since leaving Metallica. I get a more COC vibe (which I am a big fan of). I would love to see more but I agree I would like a little more thrashy goodness out of him too.

Thanks Keir & BL!

Personally, I really love the Armored Saint version since that came out first. But when Tesla release their version, it was spot on and KILLER! Love it too!!! But BL is right, that song IS soooo good, you can't do a bad version.

Now let's hope Nitro doesn't do a cover of it... and butcher it ;) LOL!!!

Ok, not the same song as THE Day of the Eagle. Not a bad song though.

Since we have our faithful HR80s rock/metal gurus online right now..Who is gracing the cover of this record with the Nuge?
Is that Brigette Nielsen?
Walt knows her.
Her name was Eva-something, if I remember correctly. Met her in Miami Beach. It was the same time that my former roommate, Kelley, was dating Ted. Kelley was the blonde on the Little Miss Dangerous tour T-shirts.
