I heard about 20 seconds of the "Remember Tomorrow" version and it's ok, but I prefer Iron Maiden's version. I still say that Metallica need to replace James as the vocalist, but keep him on rhythm guitar. There are plenty of guys that can sound like James did in '86 that would give Metallica the freshness they need. People may argue that it wouldn't be the same band, but I don't see them currently as the same band as back in the '80s and early '90s, so would it really hurt?

I am trying to stay open-minded on the new album, but I remember everyone saying "St. Anger" was going to be such a great album and I didn't care for much of that.

"I didn't care for much of that" is putting it lightly. If you won't say it, I will -- IT SUCKED!!! As Da314Man has said, it should be re-named to "St. Garbage."

I am also looking forward to the new album, but I will contain my excitement until hearing it. As for the Maiden cover tune, "Yes" James is actually singing with a good voice, but is it "Metallica" of old?!? No, but James has been evolving as a singer. Again, is that such a good thing?!? Yes & No...whereas he's keeping his singing voice and he hasn't wrecked it by "over-growling" (for example, compare Brian Johnson's voice on "Back In Black" to "Stiff Upper Lip" -- it's now a bit worn out and strained, IMO).

Just got back from lunch, filled up the gas tank and there was a guy filling up an obviously brand new VW of some kind in front of me with plates that read BEMEUP. He smiles at me and says "how do you like the car" I said the cars nice but the plates are a little different. He said yeh, I m a trekkie! I said no sh*t, you should have gotten plates that read IMADORK. I thought he was gonna cry

Dude, that was freaking HILARIOUS! If any of you have never seen the Triumph The Insult Comic Dog at the Star Wars premiere in New York, GO WATCH IT! Damn, Slick, that just reminded me so much of that bit!
I have to admit I amuse myself an awful lot..glad to know that someone else enjoys it once in awhile!
Hey Slick,

"Accept - Dogs on Leads (4:24) (By Request)
From: Metal Heart
Song Dedication: I get this one at least once a month on an RR. I should probably listen to it sometime so I know what it means. Is it dogs on lead, like a lead pipe? Or is it dogs on leads, like a leader? Actually neither one makes any sense to me
From: Slick"

Oh, those WACKY Germans and their English translations. I think they mean dogs on a leash (or leashes), but as a figure of speech. Oh hell, I really have NEVER known what this song is about, but I do like it

No kidding. Not much ooomph with this song. I think we need additional Gary Moore cd's uploaded, cuz this won't cut it...
Because the rockers have been played off it already. See what happens when you go on vacation?
That'll teach me...
LOL! Hope you had a killer time, though!
Yeah, Gary's got some great stuff so I was not expecting that one.

I have the WOV album with this song on it, and used to listen to this song constantly way back when. Totally different genres, buy why? This is one cover I think was completely unnecessary. JMO
Agreed. Loved the Wall Of Voodoo one, but am not a big fan of the CF cover. Love CF, just not this tune.
Accept - The King (4:05) (By Request)

From: I'm a Rebel

Is this really Accept???

I just checked and it says bassist Peter Baltes is singing lead vox. Is that true?!? WOW, I've never heard this tune. Waaaaaaaay out of left field. Very different than classic Udo-vox ACCEPT, but I do like it.

Metallica - Breadfan (5:41)
(By Request)

From: Garage Inc. Disc 2

Now here's a cover that's definitely better than the original. I like Budgie, but this one beats theirs hands down.

Yup. He also sings on "Seawinds" and the chorus for "Save Us". Those first 2 albums are quite different from the Accept most people are familiar with but I really enjoy them.
