ooooh, then that becomes interesting. maiden are just a band too, after all. everyone borrows from each other. it is not unthinkable that they were the ones who borrowed then. thanks for the correction, keir

> Mornin' crew! Wow, my Kreator albums got thrown into Sam, cool! I added the 90's and very early 2000's releases. These albums were a bit of a pull away from thrash and some were even on the prog tech side. Quite a few bands were doing this style in the 90's, I guess to survive the "non-metal" sense that seemed to be going around from the industry. Coroner was another that took this path. It worked for these guys cuz they were some cool releases and they are still out there making great music.

This album gets slammed by most Kreator fans but I actually think it???s the best thing they???ve done since Coma Of Souls.

Yeah, I love this album also. I can imagine Renewal did not go over well either as that one is really on the prog side. but like this one, I dig that album quite a bit too.

I should probably know this since I am a pretty big Maiden fan and this album seems to be alluding to Paul's past, but who the heck is Dennis Stratton???

I've always liked Pauls's solo stuff and this is no different, that was a cool tune.

Dennis Stratton was one of the original guitarists. He played on the self-titled album before he was replaced by Adrian Smith.

Was thinking that was a possibility but did not want to guess. Thanks DD B)

Great request PiMan!

Never heard of this band before hearing them here on HR80s.

Does anyone know whatever happened to them?

Can't believe they didn't hit it big. Incredible talent (IMHO)...
Yeah, Sacred Rite were great. They recorded a 4th album after Is Nothing Sacred, but weren't able to get a label to release it and they disbanded shortly thereafter (1989 I think). They reunited in 2007 and put out another album which I haven't heard, but it didn't get very good reviews and I'm pretty sure they called it quits again after that.

Thanks Keir. :horns:

Who can explain such as this in the music industry?

I don't think about this band unless I hear the commercial here. But this tune went by this morning and it was pretty cool. So I looked them up and they have a new album out called "Higher". Does anyone have it laying around that they can throw on the ftp for Chris to add?

Here is the new vid. Besides being a rocking tune, they sure are fun to watch ;)

Oh, that was me :cheer: It was part of my holiday "pressure" block I do believe. Glad I could help with gettin' that stuck in your noggin' ;) You're welcome!

A great tune from a great 80's rock album!!!
screaming santas - 12 days of christmas

a really, really, really, really BAD rendering of the tune. I wouldn't mind not hearing it again.

for some reason it never showed up on the Now Playing page and I can't quote it. but you know what I mean, chris. if I could, I'd rate it a -1. lol
Can't rate the Christmas tunes as they're not in regular rotation. Same thing every year. ;)
Oh I know that honey, but I guess I'd like to cut this one out of the program altogether ;)

Understood, Sonja. Not a huge fan myself. Rather hear Dio Christmas stuff!
