If it's choppy right now ,w e got some more drive errors in the system error log...
I'll post something on the main page, but here's what we're doing:
- backing up current data
- pulling drives after backed up
- replacing with a fresh drive and one containing the backup
- reinstall the OS/etc if necessary...
So...we may be down for a while this afternoon/evening or tomorrow...
Bear with us in the mean time if the stream is choppy...

Beyond choppy.
I crapped out around 2pm today. No music via IE or on Firefox in the shop.
Nothing, zip, nadda.

We're installing the OS on a new drive right now, and hope to restore the data as soon as possible. We'll keep you posted on the main forum post with any updates...

We may update this as well...
Sorry for all the issues...

Hey Chris, I know I don't speak for everyone here but if you need to charge a modest fee for your service to update things and make it work I'm ok with it. I've been looking at the 'optional' pay deal but don't really see what it's getting me. Still, I'm cool with sending some funds your way for the hardware issues.
You're offering a service. It's a business and I have one too so I can relate. Unless your sponsors are really paying for all the guts of this (I doubt it) then tell me your service is $10 a month and I'm good with it. Just give me assurances that the music stays the same, no commercials and such and no "format changes".
Business is business. Tell me where to send something to help and I'll put a few bucks in the pot.

Anyone else think it was ironic that the last request played before the server crash was "Crashdiet" DOH!
From:
DrK
Walt and I were talking about that yesterday. I hadn't connected it, but he pointed it out.

I must admit, even though I????????m a huge Gamma Ray fan, I did not pick this one up. Perhaps I????????ll change my mind.
From:

Keir, if you do pick it up, make sure you get the digipack with the bonus DVD. It's loaded with all kinds of footage, and a lengthy interview with Kai about the inspiration of each tune.

Walt... I????????m assuming the above means you????????re getting laid off too. My participation here has been a little limited for some time... so I????????m a little out of the loop. I spend my days freelancing and odd jobbing it to make ends meet and looking for a full time gig.
Best of luck my friend. Everything will work out for the better.

WOW, I guess Candlemass and their "gloom & doom" metal had a subliminal effect on me -- My RIP block is case in point, ha!!! Candlemass was playing when I made my requests.

P.S. The Ozzy Osbourne tune was my "To Randy, RIP", but SAM was hungry this Monday morning!!!

DD, I know you probably know this, but Jason played on this album, not Cliff. Although I can see why you picked this tune as the title fits the RIP theme well
