I was pleasantly surprised by this song. I do not know Nickleback or Lifehouse but could hear it was something different. I was shocked it was Tommy Lee, but the overall sound of the whole song was great. I will request more in the future.

Please don't....hehehehe
I obviously do not like Nicklecrap or Deadhouse, so this sound from Tommy Lee does nothing for me. That is why both of those bands are not on here, it sounds like typical rehashed grunge..Tommy just following suit, and it did not work, but he made it into Sam because he as a Crue member.

I guess it's because they don't have a link to the 80s; The band isn't from the 80s, nor have any of the members been in an 80s band that is on this station. That seems to be the criteria. Although now that I think about it, new bands like Airbourne are on here. :?
I don't know.

Ahh, but bands like Airbourne keep the sound of the 80s alive. That's why they're here.

Hey Sambo! What's up girl!
No offense...but I have heard ALOT of Nickleback and Lifehouse (the radio over hear plays them all the time) and I even borrowed a cd a from a friend of mine to check out, and I don't dig it at all. So my point of view is not blind just because they are a popular radio band. That's also not to say it is bad, that's just my opinion, if you enjoy their stuff, that's cool!
Most of the "new" bands on HR80's have, I guess it would be called, the 80's traditional flavor to their sound (Black Tide, Airbourne, Crazy lixx, etc), where as NB and LH really do not carry any of that sound, more of the early to mid-90's grunge edge. But I do admit, there is albums in Sam that I think should not be here (fit the format), some by new bands and others by side project or newer bands from the old school rockers (like the Tommy Lee releases). But Admin decides that, so I just skip over those albums when searching for tunes to play. And I am sure there is a few bands I play here that folks don't like, so what can we do, take the good with the bad..still the best station on the net.
Didn't mean to offend a there with the trash talk on your bands...hehehe, still friends right?? :>)

of course!!! I wouldn't let such a petty thing stand between us, Skulls! :D (now, if it were the Jovis we were talking about, then.... lol :P) Seriously, tho. I haven't gotten worked up a BIT over this, I swear by Richie Sambora  . I hate these other idiots - be it from nokia or sunrise - cause now I hate my new phone and I should like it.

Dream Evil - Let's Make Rock (4:04) (By Request)
From: The Book Of Heavy Metal
Hey Skulls - great picks.
I don't know if you have had the opportunity of seeing Dream Evil live - but if you haven't and they come calling - take it ! They are FEROCIOUS ! Great attitude and old-school intensity all of the way with classy vocals to complete the package.
Tygers - NWOBHM at it's very best - ferocious guitar sound, smoking vocals and aggression from John Deverill and a great production from Chris Tsangarides. Is this really 27 years old ? Crikey !
Take it easy.

"Total Metal Attack", wow could we possibly get a worse ripped version of this CD from the actual DJ here? I know this CD doesn't sound this bad because I own a copy.
