Man, what a shame. Seems cancer runs deep in the metal god world. One of my fave bands. I thought Knockin on Heaven's Door was a a masterpiece and it largely, and sadly, flew under the radar. The whole album is amazing.

So true Skulls.

Seems to me that, although it's more difficult to hit it big, there's so much great new music from the local scene (Check out SA's Immortial Guardian) to the three bands you mentioned.....and so many, many more! (Check out the Metal Madman's Radio Show)

Long live rock and roll!!!

No doubt Freebie. The industry has changed dramatically (some good, but alot of bad too). although there is this misconception in the "pop" music world that rock and metal are dead, which it certainly is on pop radio, but it is also alive and well. We can see this as there is still a slew of bands and music to explore, Some bands do everything themselves and pretty much skip the big labels, some areas of the world seem more open to rock and metal (think Sweden, Germany, UK, and South America) so bands get to showcase their tunes a skills on huge festal stages to audiences in the 100's of thousands at times. And our old favorites have never given up of delivering amazing albums even when most (non-metal) people thought they were long gone. I can't even remember how many times someone has said to me "oh, you like all that old classic stuff" while I had my Iron Maiden shirt on, from the recent tour! Then I tell them that these bands are still around and still putting out albums and the person is dumbfounded. It's all about how passionate you are about seeking it out!

Some of my fave later albums that have become some of my most played and favorite albums from the bands:

Iron Maiden - The Final Frontier
Judas Priest - Redeemer of Souls
Helloween - Gambling with the Devil
Rush - Clockwork Angels
Metallica - Death Magnetic

So many more to look forward too, keep it coming! :hbang1:

Weird, seems to be a hidden track (sounds like KISS) playing. Vain tune ended, but they still show up as the current and KISS was not in the que.

Sammy being sneaky! :getstoned:

Edit: there it is from Bem, a Rex Brown cover (wow he sounded like Gene). No rating options or cover so must be one of thoe odd coded tracks. :smashpc:

Not only did he continue, but he played something like 25 more songs!
You know it's spring time in Wisconsin when the women start showing their belly buttons and office workers start going through menopause.
