Leatherwolf - Princess Of Love (3:22)
(By Request)
From: Leatherwolf
One of my fave tunes from that album (Keir, was that part of your Princess block?) and my fave album from that band. Under rated for sure.
And Saxon "Princess of the Night" as a follow up...NICE!!!

Is your audio working? I can see it running in Media Player, but no sound. I tried knac.com and Eddie Trunk's working fine...

Yes, for some reason my dedication didn't come through. Looks like I killed the station with my last song too!

Heaven - No Where To Run (4:13) (By Request)
From: Knockin' On Heaven's Door
"Hey 'Skulls, I dug this out and played it start to finish over the weekend. Good stuff! I also put on this one's predecessor, "Where Angles Fear To Tread". That one was even better I thought."
Dedicated by:
Rockhead
RH, agree, great album, glad I influenced you did dig it out and give it a spin!
I've been digging around for the "Where Angels..." but have not bumped across one yet (cd or lp) that was somewhat reasonably priced. I did dig up their 1st LP "Bent" and is pretty good, but the production quality is poor and most of the writing was kinda basic. Good stuff, but "Knockin" showed the maturity in the writing skills. Also everyone on that Bent album, besides the singer/writer (don't recall his name off hand) was gone and a whole new band was on the Knockin release. Guess he cleaned house and started over. You can do that if it is your band!
BTW..DD, thanx for the Hell Boyz tune!

Thanks. Wanted to fit Helloween - Keeper II and Dokken - Tooth & Nail in the set as well but can't fit 7 into 5. I guess I'll do a "Second Team All World" later...

You guys will hear me say this until Wed. I have the IRON MAIDEN concert Wed night!!!! YEA!!!! Should be a blast. They are supposed to have a bunch of different Eddies from over the years also. I hope they do some tunes from all the albums, start to finish. I like all their material, so would be cool to hear something off the S/T as well as this album, Fear of the Dark, Dance of Death, etc. This is the first time I have seen them live so I am stoked big time!!!

> One thing about the IM show, is there is not an opener listed. I dig seeing opening bands, but if Maiden just get to it and jam for a few hours, that works for me!
I believe Lauren Harris is touring with them, though maybe not at your venue.
I know you'll have a blast Wednesday. I'm going to see them Friday myself. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

'Skulls,
Lauren is Steve's daughter. I've read some things about her, but have not heard anything. I've seen her listed as opener at several shows.

Blue ???’????????yster Cult - Burnin' For You (4:31)
(By Request)
From: Workshop Of The Telescopes (Disc 2)
This is one of those great tunes that instantly drags me back in time. I remember riding in the back of my brothers Pinto sedan when I was about 15 with a catholic girl with me for a date (yea, she had on the skirt and the whole outfit) and my bro had his girl with him up front. We went to her place and hung out and had a few brews. Must have been close to summer, cuz I remember it was hot (or was that because I was 15 and was with at hot catholic chick??..hehehe) Anyway, this tune was playing on my bros 8-track player..yea 8-track, remember those..they were still floating around in the early 80's.
Ahhh...the memories!

So I guess we get to hear portions of songs, now? That's just funky. Especially the Classic Metal Show interrupting the feed. WTF?

I never knew this album was only released as "hell bent for leather" in the US & was called Killing Machine everywhere else
From:
Slick
Why is that Slick? Any idea - neither title seems bad/wrong to me.

Columbia records did not like the "murderous implications" of the album title. Green Manalishi was added to the US version, it wasnt on the original Killing Machine version. Amazing what you can find out in Wikipedia!!

Actually - I found this:
CBS/Columbia Records did not like the violent title Killing Machine for the American market, citing the title as having "murderous implications" that were too offensive to have displayed on store shelves (department store such as K-Mart were big opponents to the title), so the title of the Glenn Tipton song "Hell Bent For Leather" (appropriate for the band's image) was chosen instead, and the album was released in the States in February 1979, along with the US tour as planned.

It is a rather interesting read. Halford wrote a book. I hope one day he finds it and we all can read it - This is a great article - long , but full of info. Love how they were "tickled" when they frist were being fitted at the leather shop!!
