That's a lot of pressure on Doc for a killer LIVE FRIDAY block tomorrow.

Like the principal told Jerry when he was fighting Buddy Revell in Three O'Clock High, "Don't fuck this up, Mitchell!".

Believe it or not, but I still have some of those temp. tattoos, ha! The sheet is a bit hacked up since I cut out the ones I wanted to wear! The other things in Alive II were (as per Wikipedia):

"PROMOTIONAL ITEMS: The original vinyl issue of Alive II was a 2-LP set with a gatefold cover and picture inner sleeves. Continuing the Kiss tradition of including promotional items with their albums, Alive II was packaged with a full-color booklet titled "The Evolution of Kiss" and a set of temporary transfer tattoos in a cartoon style. The tattoos depicted the band logo, Kiss Army logo, band member heads, member signatures and symbols. The symbols were meant to represent the four personas of the group and included a skull and crossbones for Gene Simmons, a rose and star with eye for Stanley, a Saturn-like planet and block print-style "ACE" for Frehley, and a drum and cat's head for Peter Criss. The rose and "ACE" are copies of Stanley and Frehley's actual tattoos, respectively. A merchandise order form was also included with the album, listing an array of official Kiss merchandise as well as a chance to "enlist" in the Kiss Army. The inner sleeves depicted crazed Kiss fans in a confetti storm and the band's album discography to date."

BTW, I got Alive II from Santa for Christmas that year (1977), but I was really surprised since the cover had a pic of Gene with blood on his face, which I thought my Mom & Dad would certainly object to. And now we've pinpointed where it all began for me, hehehehe ;)
Masterplan - Black In The Burn (3:58)
(By Request)
From: Aeronautics

Listener Dedication:
Why does it say this song is only 3:58? Should be more around 9:30.

Ah ha, well there we go. The last five and a half minutes were cut off. Looks like Chris need to re-load.

Interesting request Keir and a cover I had never heard until today...:beerme:

As for the original? I actually went to the same high school as Christopher Cross. His band was a popular one and he was a pleasant rocker and treated the metal garage band community on good terms...he got huge after that single's release and wasn't seen in local circles for quite some time thereafter.

I wonder what ever happened to that guy?
That's funny. All I remember of him is that song.

EDIT: I was thinking of Kris Kristofferson.

ZZ Top - Legs (4:34)
(By Request)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!! Jesus H. Christ. I listen to HR80s so that I don't have to hear butt-rock songs by ZZ Top.

Try as you may to argue this point, you'll still be wrong!
Agreed. What is hard rockin about this?
Only thing hard about that song is listening to it!!

I can argue it - I agree this song is overplayed but more hard rockin than many other sad offerings sitting in the library. Buwahahaha!!!
This band has got a boomerang effect: every 6 months the topic comes back again ;)
