I was watching "I Love the 70's" on VH1C the other day and they showed a clip of this tune and was talking about Thin Lizzy. Scott Ian of Anthrax said they were one of the best bands that ever existed and Jack Blades of Night Ranger said if a band said they were not influeneced by TL, they were lying. Agreed...I need to explore more of their catalog, quite a bit is unknown to me, but what I know is amazing...

I saw that too. Blades was very emphatic about his comments too. He is right as was Scott Ian about Anthrax.
I was cool to see some of the old music clips on those episodes. And the hair!!!

It's a shame all the radio stations ever play is "Boys Are Back in Town". I had overlooked Thin Lizzy for a long time because that was all I knew.

Been a Thin Lizzy fan since the 70s. Love them. It was a very sad day for me when Phil passed. I used to have most of their stuff on vinyl, but those have long gone. So I'm starting to rebuild my collection on CD.

I could've written the exact same thing, except I still have all my Thin Lizzy vinyl. I've been replacing it with cd as well. I also have Phil's solo stuff, in addition to many VHS and dvds of Thin Lizzy. As I said in one of my dedications yesterday, I think if David Coverdale hadn't lured John Sykes away, the next album Thin Lizzy recorded after Thunder And Lightning would have been huge. I think that was a big blow to Phil, even though he and Sykes remained friends.
There are all kinds of great TL clips on YouTube if you are so inclined...

Yeah, we've heard a lot of them this week and I'm liking them... I'd like to pick it up too. I'd also like to go on a CD shopping spree like you did this week! :)

Ok - maybe not. :lol: I listen to his stuff sometimes. The best tailgatting party I went to was before a Buffet concert. But I do not drink to-kill-ya, so I did not partake in his usually frozen drinks of choice. It really was a fun concert. We were at Apline Valley outside Chicago. It is a hillside. Cool venue.
And being from Florida, I do own several hawaiian print shirts. My fave is a black shirt with pink flamingos all over it - dad has the same one!!!
