> Not a good week. Started the day yesterday with call down to the company owner????????s office. My division????????s largest client is shifting all advertising and marketing to their headquarters. As of September 1... 2 days after my 20th anniversary here??????? my entire team specializing in retail and medical advertising is being let go. It????????s hard to be mad at a guy who had tears in his eyes when he gave me the news. I????????ve been with him 10 years longer than the next person in line. He????????s knows this is the end of his company. They say you have to let a door close for another to open. I???????m already making contacts and got my first??????? you????????re way over-qualified??????? please resubmit a resume with sans all your professional credentials so we can offer you way less???????. I don????????t think so. Keep me in your thoughts Crew. This news has been really hard on my wife and son. Rock???? Diem Y????????all!

As you say, you have to let a door close for another to open. It will. Things happen for a reason and it will eventually work out for you. Good luck.
Thanks BL. Too much going for me to be down.
Stay with it Doc. Remember, I was there too a year and a half ago. Someone will realize you'll be an asset to their company. I hope it happens quickly for you.
Thanks Rocko... I know you understand what I????????m in the middle of.
Doc, I can empathize as well. Got it from both IBM and Nortel. But Rocko and BL are right. Things will work out!
How comes that bumper no longer says "suck harder than a $10 crack whore"? I've heard it a couple of times recently and the $10 crack whore part is definitely removed. Did a crack whore complain? C'mon man, this is a rock & roll station.
I originally submitted a wide-open version (crack whore) and a mild version (as a safety).

After the big crash, Chris put both bumpers in the rotation.

Prior to the crash, only crack whore aired... that????????s the one I prefer too.
Ah, that splains it. Ban the edited version!
> A little inspiration music for Doc this morning. Everyone here is going to think positive thoughts and believe that you will find the perfect opportunity for you!

Hutt,

I am very appreciative of those kind words. I thank all of you for the words of encouragement over the past few days.

I????????ve been employed every day of my life since I was 13. I????????ve never had to look for a job, employers have sought me out. This is new for me, but as I said.. new doors cannot open without closing old ones.

I????????ve got a wonderful family and great friends... those are far more important. I just hope wherever I land I can still be a part of the Day Crew here at HR80s.

Thanks.
You know we're all pulling for you Doc.

I regularly hear both versions, so they're most definitely both still here. the crack whore and the "just suck" version :D. love the crack whore one, too :D. no offense to crack whores. lol.
Stream from the Windows Media Player has crapped out again. Anyone else?

Edit: seems it was the 33k stream having problems. The 128k stream is working. 8)

Thank You hardrockin80s.com for having all these gems on the website!!!

I truly love how hypocritical you are. In one of your rants, you were bitching about 60s bands. Then you call this AC/DC tune a "gem" when it sounds like it came out in the early 60s and is very early Stones-sounding (and pretty much sucks). Sheesh.
