Again, I think someone is hammering down ratings just to be a dick. Anyone that listens to this site and does not think that is a great tune is listening to the wrong station.

I'm pretty sure it's the latter. You've heard Dale and myself bitching about the totally crappy scores for a lot of the thrash bands. When you give everyone the power to vote on songs, you can expect this kind of thing.

Heard on the radio last night driving home that the new chickenfoot CD has sold about 49,000 copies through the first week...compared to the new Dave Mathews Cd which has sold over 400,000 copies.

Wow, I'm surprised by that number. As of today, Chickenfoot is #4 on the Billboard top 100. So makes me think that number has grown quite a bit in the past few days.
Damn good for a bunch of "old" rockers when they are competeing against bullshit like Dave Mattews, Lady Gaga (wtf?) and Taylor Swift (who is hot, but her tunes suck).
Do not really think the idea was to go out and sell a million copies anyway. Just Sammy and boys making some killer music for those that want that kind of stuff (like most of us here :>)

I read a review of the Chickenfoot album last night in the current issue of Guitar Player. They couldn't lavish enough praise. I agree, and think they deserve it. As 'Skulls said, it's totally refreshing in today's (popular) music climate.

Oh I'm sure they would - you know how to make a ROCKING appearance! :D. but from the way it sounds, all you need is a good objective for your camera and an open window from your office :D :D :D. I'm dying to know if Carlos is in the next season. and of course, he's not talking. he's been doing it too long, he knows how to keep us guessing ;)
on a whole different note, my copy of Iron Maiden Flight 666 - The Movie arrived yesterday. I haven't watched the movie DVD cause I'd seen the movie at the theater when it aired in may, but I watched the second DVD, which is concert footage of all the songs featured in the movie. ROCKING! Each And Every Maiden Fan must buy it. hehehe. (yes, yet another Live Maiden DVD - but why not. at least they're good at it) B)
