YEP!!!

Seems the Bay Area Thrash Bands still got it...Testament, Death Angel, eXodus. Their newest releases are brutally AWESOME!!!

No Substitute by Vinnie Vincent is playing now. Is it just me, or does Vinnie's guitar tone always sound as if it's eq'd flat across when he solos? I always described his tone as Cardboard Sound, as opposed to Eddie VanHalen's Broen Sound.

I agree.... the funny thing about V.V. is that I like listening to the albums until some of the solos hit... and I'm a guitar player! LOL He just wanks off too much...
My last block was about as bad as it can get. Holy crap, last time I pick 5 songs I don't know.
Jon Boy,

cool, I've got a fellow Lakers fan here. Let's hope they get back on track tonight.
Slick....no problem at all....you certainly are entiltled to your opinion....just cant see the point of view as "worst ever"....so much dog crap out there....that one is not for everyone....but to each his own...I kinda like that one and it seems as if others do....I know alot of people dont like VAIN....but I love em....anyway...take care...

Wyldside is playing "Lay Down Your Love"... one of the best songs off the new Whitesnake ... imho
Queensr???’????che - Queen Of The Reich (4:25)
(By Request)

From: Queensryche

Nice pic rochie!!! One of my all time fave 80's tunes. Tate just sounds amazing on that cut!

Great start crew for 80's day!
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It

Whoops! Andie, it looks like you grabbed the 2004 version.
You know - I chose the Lp listed self titled - and that was the only song on there. Did not know what that was. At leat the original was from the 80's.

Mr. SLash - we both must have picked a Stryper song at the same time, cause I stayed in the S's for the rest of my pics, but see yours is playing.

Guess we will get a bit more God Metal later in the day, folks!!
Savatage - Summer's Rain

Savatage is right up there with Scorpions for writing some of the best ballads EVER.

Turbo, I was going to play your question game yesterday but the forum was down.
> I see today is 80\'s day. Could someone explain this to me? I kind of thought that since this Hard Rockin\' 80\'s, everyday was 80\'s day....
There's a lot of music on the station from the 70s that influenced 80s hard rock/metal, and even more from after the 90s and 00s by 80s bands or that was inspired by the 80s. So 80s day is when we play only music that was actually released from 1980-1989 (and sometimes '90).
So is it just me, or did the audio crap out again? I can't get connected through Media Player, the web player or Real Player.

Walt
I agree with Mr. Slash. Cover Tunes day is one thing, but 80's day? Enough is enough. Just play some damn music.
Must have just been me. Working now.
Black Lab, - our all 80's day is different - it makes us really think about songs that were specifically from the 80's. We have really dug up some good stuff the last few weeks that we have been doing this.

But you can still play what you want - that is the great thing about the station. So much to choose from!!
It is funny, Turbo and Z2H, I have Danger2 on my Zune and everytime they would come on I would be like - who is this. I have since learned their sound, but they were so non descriptive to me, so bland. I do like a couple of songs from them, but it took a while for them to grow on me.
Megadeth - Mechanix (4:23)
(By Request)

From: Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!

I did not notice this until recently how this song (Mechanix) sounds just like The Four Horsemen by Metallica. I know Mustaine got writing credit with Ulrich and Hetfield for the Horsemen tune. I guess he had rights to the tune to re-record it on the Killing album. I do not think the words are the same, but the melody is exactly the same.

Just found it interesting, not sure any of the crew know the story...

Also...I love new music just as much as anyone, but someone bitching about 80's day? If someone here does not enjoy 80's day why are they listening to a station called Hard Rockin'....uh..80s????
