How about a nice game of chess?
War Games!
DragonForce - Through The Fire And Flames

I hate these guys. I really do. I rank them as a 1 every time they are played. Check them out live on YouTube. They aren't quite as good without studio magic.
I saw them in concert and they kicked ass.

Really - I love this music - I love how fast it is, the guitars rip right thru me!!

Not a big fan of these guys either. I've read all the interviews in the Guitar mags - they're really full of themselves. I really don't care for - as DD put it, I believe - Hyper-Metal.
agree with rockhead and mr. slash

don't like it
Hi to Andie,Rockhead,Zero2Hero,Mr Slash and all in the Day Crew !

Dragonforce are probably one of the biggest polarisers of opinion in metal - no doubt. Their first two albums tore my head off and were very refreshing - a British Power Metal band signed to a major label who had a chance to challenge the best - haven't had one of those for a while !

In concert - hmmm. Lots of young fans brandishing plastic swords - I thought I had arrived at a kindergarden version of Manowar ! Quite ragged - checked them at this years Download festival - I feel they are now at a crossroads. Latest album - I've seen a couple of videos on Headbangers Ball - same stuff - drum fills, widdly high-pitched call/answer guitar solos, arrogant in interviews, etc. They need to get some humility, work hard, pay their dues and learn off their more experienced peers. They are still only young - but they need to use this fact to ask some advice from others - eg. at Download there was Judas Priest, KISS,etc.

Their next album needs to be their 'Rust In Peace'.

I think Dragonforce have a very cool sound. I think their guitarist is incredible, but I can't say I own a single thing by them or know anything about them. They are one of those bands I take notice of when a song comes on, but haven't spent enough time finding out the first thing about them.
Stef introduced me to these guys (dragon Force) and has given me a couple of their albums. I like the different sound. Kind of like Kamelot and Manowar in the epic type way, but a little edgier to me.
Gotta throw in my dollar (no more "2 cents, inflation you know) about DragonForce.

I have two of their albums and since I am a huge Euro Power Metal fan, I find them quite interesting. I love the "hyper-metal" thing, it really gets the blood pumping!! But could not spin each album back to back..gotta take a breather! But it is great to see a young generation carrying on with metal, and not that rehashed grunge crap...

So I agree with those that enjoy this band as much as I do, but also agree with the other comments (besides those that hate them), that they need to: 1) Get to know their music peers, like Priest, etc. These bands have been around a long time and sure could give out some great advice. 2) Expand your sound. I love bands that change their sound every few albums (exp: Helloween, JP, Rush) because it can get quite boring after awhile hearing the same album over and over. Same reason I have not bought an AC/DC album in years. 3) This most of all...don't be a dick, because the fans always catch on and will move on to someone else (uh..Axl Rose anyone..and he is just worse case example).

Long live Power Metal!

Song Dedication Likey this Ace solo stuff..although Tod Howarth had a huge part in the writing and sound of this project. Ace was a smart man having him on board, these albums are pretty darn catchy...

yeah, I really like those two albums at the end of the 80's, too

I like the late 80s Ace stuff. Todd Horwarth was indeed a big part of Ace's sound back then. Todd also went on as Cheap Trick's touring keyboardist in the early 90s.
Tygers of Pan Tang - "Raised on Rock"

John Sykes is great on this tune. The rolling riff and the leads are outstanding!

More of these kind of tunes.... please.

Pantera - Cemetery Gates (7:03)

First Pantera song I ever heard, and still my favorite. A co worker at the time turned me on to this album when it first came out. She had it on cassette, and let me borrow it.
